The City of Baltimore Election Polling Place Finder application helps citizens locate their election polling place and obtain information about current elected officials. This application is typically used by citizens during an election season, but can be used throughout the year to determine which elected official represents the precinct they reside in.

Using the Application

The City of Baltimore Election Polling Place Finder application offers a simple way for voters to find their election polling place. When a voter finds their address, the application will select the appropriate polling place and highlight it, along with the respective voting precinct, on the map. In addition, relevant information about that polling place and currently elected officials will be presented in a series of tabs at the bottom of the application.

Finding an Area of Interest

There are two primary ways to identify an address or area of interest. You can interact directly with the map and click on an address when you've located it. You can also use the Search Box to locate an address.

Map Based Navigation

There are several ways to interact with the map:

1. Use the basemap switcher to select the basemap you'd like to interact with
2. Hold down the shift key and drag a box on the map to zoom in
3. Hold Down Ctrl+Shift to zoom out
4. Roll your mouse roller to zoom in/out
5. Drag the zoom slider to zoom in/out

Searching

The search box can be used to find an address, neighborhood or landmarks:

1. Enter the address, neighborhood or landmark you're interested in
2. Click on the item in the list to locate the address on the map

Polling Place and Elected Official Information

After searching for a respective address, the polling place and voting precinct will be highlighted on the map. At the same time, relevant information will be presented in the Polling Place and Elected Officials tabs at the bottom of the application. In the Polling Place tab, you'll find:

1. The name of the polling place and its address
2. The hours of operations and any specific accomodations
3. Voter registration deadlines and the next election date
4. Contact information
5. Directions to the polling place

In the Elected Officials tab, you'll find the following information for local,state and federal representatives:

1. The district name and identifier
2. A URL for the district website
3. The name of the representative(s) for the district
